Asta Project Analyser: A Delay Analysis aid from Asta Development.

The situations where Asta Projectanalyser can be applied are:

  • A dispute between two parties where each has a version of the plan (maybe originating from two completely
    different sources) and wants to see what has been done to a project and how it differs from another.
    This is often the case in a contractual dispute before adjudication, during adjudication and by expert
    witnesses before and during a court hearing
  • .Even relatively simple project plans can quickly get complicated as you cope with adapting the plan to meet
    the changing circumstances of the project.
    Compare and understand where you are now against where you started from.
  • Compare an adapted project with its baseline to see why variances are occurring.
  • You inherit a project plan from someone who has been re-assigned or left the company. Understanding how
    things have changed over time and where changes have been made is important to quickly mastering the
    project plan.
Asta Projectanalyser is a standalone application (you don't need to have Asta Powerproject to run it!). It costs just $500 and can analyse ocal project plans and project plans produced by Asta Powerproject Enterprise.. Two projects are selected to compare the base project and the revised project. The tasks in each project  are compared using a matching idenitifier. This means you could import a Microsoft Project® or Primavera® P3 or P5 plan into Asta Powerproject and run it though the analyser.

Asta Projectanalyser works by using the work break down structure (WBS) numbering or the Unique Task ID within the project.
